mamajumps 0 #56 November 12, 2008 Quote Quote i want to talk to ppl who are actually 16-18 years old. I am 16 and i want SOMEONE my age to talk to! About what? Just talk? The world isn't that large, you must have actual in person people you can talk to, your age. You do go to school don't you??????????????? And FYI people, I believe Mullins has a few kids that jump out of planes that are not over 18. It can be done, waivers just have to be signed and you have to find a DZ willing. True, and Mullins Kids are good skydivers... but they also grew up in the sport. Having a jump pilot / dzo dad does a lot for a kids understanding of the sport. If I have matched dad with daughter correctly, he just started jumping himself. Rook and Missy also grew up in the sport and started jumping young (Missy was 4 I believe when her dad took her on her first tandem) but again, it has to do with having the opportunity to grow up in the sport.... Icon134 0 #61 November 12, 2008 Ah... the internet... there's nothing like it... fwiw: there are skydivers out and about under 18 most of them are from skydiving/flying families... but not always... we have a jumper at our dz under 18 that works at manifest but as far as I know his parents aren't jumpers... he is merely interested in flying and such and got the job because he wanted good summer employment... He got permission from his parents to jump and he seems to have a good head on his shoulders... Krystal... fwiw try not to take things to personally... it is the internet and people are very skilled at expressing their opinions.Livin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife... simplyputsi 0 #63 November 12, 2008 I'm sorry I watched mullins boy almost crash a 4 wheeler and not only take himself out but others as well. He got training and learned to skydive like anyone else. Girl has to start somewhere, she just doesn't have daddy to hook her up with a plane ride. What I'm trying to say is people are good at what they are trained to do. Mullins boy apparently was not trained to ride a 4 wheeler, but it doesn't mean he can't learn.Skymama's #2 stalker -
