PhreeZone 20 #1 November 7, 2008 I just got a Pearl and I'm already seeing a lack of some things on the phone that I would like to get it to do. What software are you running on your phone that is worth the time/money to install it? I need something that will do repeated rings/tones if I miss a call or a priority 1 message, this is so i can throw the phone in my locker at the DZ and just by walking past it can know if something critical is going on. By default it looks like it will ring once and that is it. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
ifall 0 #2 November 7, 2008 I'd be interested in finding something that has repeating alerts for the Pearl as well. I just recently got a free one from a friend who didn't have much use for all the extras and have missed a couple urgent calls from work because it only rings once then just blinks. I'm a heavy sleeper so this would really help with those late night/early morning emergency calls.
eeneR 3 #3 November 7, 2008 The thing I found with the calls that you HAVE to wake up for is to use the most obnoxious ring tone you can find and set it to loud. I have in the past used "Alarm_HighAlert" at full blast (which is actually my daily alarm setting too). If need be set that ringer up as a custom ringer for specific numbers. As for the repeated beep, haven't found a way to do that either. As for software, at this point I have not found anything that I needed to put on the phone. I did download Handango, and tested a few apps but never ended up buying anything. I haven't had to many issues other then the need for an occasional reboot of the thing. She is not a "Dumb Blonde" - She is a "Light-Haired Detour Off The Information Superhighway." eeneR TF#72, FB#4130, Incauto

ifall 0 #8 November 7, 2008 I use the tinkerbell tone as my backup alarm for mornings. The thing that gets me though is it goes off for one series then stops and when you take a look at the screen it is asking if you want to put in on snooze or disable. You would think it would just continue to go off until you hit snooze.Overall I am very happy with the Pearl though.
PhreeZone 20 #9 November 7, 2008 I found Blackberry Alerts for $13 that lets you set it to continue to ring every X minutes until you address the phone and you can set it to do that for Voicemail, missed calls, etc. Might try it and see how it goes.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
