DJL 235 #1 November 16, 2008 My GF will be needing the return portion of a ticket we booked a while back. She's leaving from another city now so she can't make the 1st half. We booked through Hotwire and today called the airline to confirm that this wouldn't be a problem. I have been told by others that if you don't use the first half that you lose the whole thing. They said that it will be another $150 for her to only use the return ticket. Anyone know a way around this or know that they cancel the whole thing if she doesn't show up for the initial leg?"I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher
catfishhunter 2 #2 November 16, 2008 If you don't show up for the first you lose the second. It sucks we found out the hard way when my wife missed her plane last year because of a snow storm she got on another flight the next day but we we went to come back from eloy I had a ride and she didn'tThat SUCKED but we got the guy at the counter to fix help us out. What he did wasn't xsuppossed to be allowed but he hooked us up and got us on the first flight the following morning. Short version don't leave anyting to chance. MAKE sure before she missus the first flight that she has a return flight. MAKE EVERY DAY COUNT Life is Short and we never know how long we are going to have. jonstark 8 #4 November 16, 2008 If you make the airline aware of the changes they will more often than not accommodate you. It may cost you something but you probably won't lose your seat. Always best to call the airline and reconfirm. jon
