Rookie120 0 #2 November 21, 2008 Quote what are the going rates in your area!! Work all day and you might be able to buy a burger at the ski lodge. Instructors don't get paid dick. I heard an instructor at Breckenridge say she was gettin $10hr. but that was a few years ago.If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck! I understand why instructors stay in apartments with 15 people now. I still dont understand why so many travel the globe to do that job. They must really love there work.If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!
d_squared431 0 #7 November 23, 2008 First off I taught for years and most resorts don't pay instructors unless they are teaching a lesson. 10-15 was the average when I taught. For regular lessons 10 and privates 15. If you have a level 1-2-3 you will make more. It used to bring you up to 15 an hour but if you got a private or a private request for a lesson you made a shit load of money. The majority of the resorts now pay a show up fee which is two hrs. If you can cross over and teach both skiing and boarding you will always work and have about 600-800 biweekly. Plus tips. If you are working there just to play for free and work as little as possible then you will be lucky if you make 200 biweekly.TPM Sister#130ONTIG#1 I love vodka.I love vodka cause it rhymes with Tuaca~LisaH You having a clean thought is like billyvance having a clean post.iluvtofly
