ASTKU 1 #5 November 24, 2008 QuoteSkydive I-35 is in Hillsboro, which is about 45 minutes south of Ft. Worth. Is that a Cessna dropzone? Whats the best closest place to go, in your opinion? I heard there was also a DZ north of Fort Worth, is that right??
AggieDave 6 #6 November 24, 2008 Quote I heard there was also a DZ north of Fort Worth, is that right?? SD Texas closed a couple of years ago. SD Cowtown is around there somewhere. Texas Freefall is in Stephenville. Eagle Flight was in Granbury but renamed and relocated to Hillsboro after it was sold and bought (again). I'm not sure what I35 is flying, I heard they were getting a KA, but I'm not sure if they have or not. Cowtown and Texas Freefall are 182 DZs. SD Dallas is in Whitewright. I have friends at every single one of those DZs and you know that skydiving is less about the A/C and much more about your friends.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." ASTKU 1 #7 November 24, 2008 Thanks for the info. I really don't care what kind of aircraft I jump out of. I just want to jump as much as possible and preferably with other fun jumpers.... I'll probably give I35 a ring and see what they have going on this weekend....
