happythoughts 0 #1 November 29, 2008 Next time that someone asks you to fill out a questionnaire in a thread here, for "their college paper on...", create a new email account. Name it something obvious, like your name spelled backwards. Or maybe, your initials followed by SSppAAmm. Today I checked my spam account. I only have used it once. Spam is deleted automatically after 30 days. I had over 850 new messages. There isn't really a practical reason to need your email account for a skydiving questionnaire. riddler 0 #2 November 29, 2008 Thanks for the heads up. That's pretty sneaky, and seems a lot of work to add your email to a spam account I wonder what the payoff is for someone that can add your name? Anyway, I don't normally endorse stuff, but I pay for the Yahoo premium service - it's about $20 a year, and you can create up to 500 fake email addresses - they will forward your email to your normal box, and you can even set them up to send email. I usually create a new one for every item that I purchase online, or every new site that I sign up for. If spam starts coming from that site, I just delete the account. It's called "AddressGuard", and it works well. Trapped on the surface of a sphere. XKCD
