Jump Suit modification

Recommended Posts

I have a Bevsuit RW jump suit that I don't use for RW any more. I would like to get it modified to add wings so that it can be used as a camera suit.

I sent and email to the manufacturer a while ago and never heard back (I'm not faulting them for it... I'm sure they're busy and I'm not a sales rep or anything) I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to modify a RW suit (w/booties) by adding wings and use it as a camera suit?

I'd ask the rigger/sales rep I bought it from about it but they're in GA and I'm in Ohio now... :(

Any thoughts?

the camera guy at my d.z. did exactly that. got a seamstress to add wings to his saussie suit. just unpick the seam down the side, add wings of an appropriate size and pull the saussies out of their pockes and sew flat. attach swoop cords on the inside of the sleeve where the wing finishes. and put a strap across the front where the wings start( so the wings dont put too much tention on the zip)

have fun;)

Thanks everyone... after a suggestion that Bev suits wasn't very quick at responding to emails I called the other day... (Thanks, for the suggestion lisa...)

She can do the modification and it cost about $75... which isn't bad... now I just have to figure out which size wings and if I want to make any other mods...

Thanks,
