hungarianchick 0 #1 November 30, 2008 Hi everyone! So it's finally happening, we are moving into our new digs and as well as wanting to simplify things and paying fewer bills and possibly saving a few bucks I'm thinking of switching to FiOS. I'm also very eager to leave the morons of Comcast behind. Does anybody have an experience with FiOS? Is the installation extra? Thanks! "I love cooking with wine. My friend in Tampa has FiOS and loves loves loves it....everything was included for one computer, plus phone service and TV...pays about $100/mo for all three, gets 20Mbps+ download speeds. I got to see it in action during a visit earlier this year...holy-blazing-fast-everything-batman!! Everything was "right-now-fast"... I found some reviews in Massachusetts about FiOS here: http://www.dslreports.com/comment/2568/71307So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! bwilling 0 #3 November 30, 2008 I've had it for a couple of years now, and have been quite happy with it... I recommend it to friends and family that can get it. I don't know what current prices are, but I had it installed for free with a one year commitment when I first got it. The FIOS service is fantastic. The internet speeds are ridiculous. The TV picture is better than anything else I have seen. If you think you were dealing with morons at Comcast, just wait. You have not yet begun to witness stupidity. The service is great, but I honestly can't say that I have ever dealt with a bigger bunch of idiots. The speed and picture are definitely worth the headaches though.Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
SuFantasma 0 #5 November 30, 2008 If you get FiOS, look at the contract, there will be an option to "remove" or "cut" your existing copper line .... the default is to remove .... make sure they don't in case you want to go back other provider ....Y yo, pa' vivir con miedo, prefiero morir sonriendo, con el recuerdo vivo". - Ruben Blades, "Adan Garcia"
