BillyVance 35 #1 December 3, 2008 Damn... I was hoping they'd keep him for another couple of years so we could beat him up some more. http://blog.al.com/spotnews/2008/12/tommy_tuberville_is_out_as_aub.html Just announced... So what's that make it, 4 coaches Sabanated this year alone? futuredivot 0 #2 December 3, 2008 It might say something about Bama's weak schedule this year-the SEC just was not together. billeisele 130 #3 December 4, 2008 FD - let Billy have his fantasy, it will only last until Saturday when Fl kicks them back to the previous centuryGive one city to the thugs so they can all live together. You don't get fired for losing to Alabama-you get fired for losing to everybody. You're right. I just had to have a little fun at our arch rival's expense. The SEC outside of Alabama and Florida sucked this year. Hard to believe but I think Ole Miss is the 3rd best team right now. Still, you'd think getting blasted by 36 points was a bitter pill to swallow. They could have given Tuberville another year to get his shit together, especially after he signed a 2 year contract extension after last season. Now they have to pay him $3 million within 30 days and another $3 million within a year. Oh Bill, I don't think Florida is going to have a cake-walk over Alabama. I'm just going to hope Bama comes ready to play and knock the Gators for a loop. If I'm wrong and Florida wins, I'll support them in the National Championship game. Got to keep it in the SEC! Whoever controls the lines effectively just may win it. Then again, it only takes one missed tackle against these Gators for them to score."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
BillyVance 35 #7 December 4, 2008 I can't believe some of the names popping up for Tuberville's successor. Jimbo Fisher and Will Muschamp? Come on.... they both have already agreed to be head-coach-in-waiting at Florida State and U. of Texas, respectively. Either of those places are better places to coach at than Auburn. At least 4 recruits have bailed on Auburn already. I would have thought they really dropped the ball big time, but it was Tuberville who offered to resign. His wife felt it was time. Best wishes Tubby. Nice severance pay too.
