Harness/Container Sizing

I've noticed that some mfr's use different types of measurements. Some use torso, some use girth, some use both and then some don't use either.

I'm about to order a Talon FS, and noticed a difference in the way RI measures compared to others.

Does anyone know if these differences, make a difference?

Everyone's body is different, which is why different people find different harnesses more comfortable.

The measurement differences could make a huge difference in fit and comfort. I would download the mfgr's measurement sheet from their website and use it before ordering anything. Usually they explain the more unusual measurements.

Give RI what they want. They have their sizing based on those measurements. Using others they may not know exactly what they are and or may not be able to translate to their sizing.

Why ask? Do what they want to get it right.

Each manufacturer constructs their harness a bit differently. They require measuerment that will best fit you into their construction.

Also Different manufacturers have different philosophies about sizing.

Just go by the directions on the order form. If you have any specific questions, feel free to PM me.
