Superman32 0 #1 December 9, 2008 I have a 6 week rotation in Chicago and need some suggestions on areas to look for housing. I'll spend 3 weeks at Jackson Park Hospital in the Jackson park area (obviously) and 3 weeks in Buffalo Grove (about 30 miles away from the hosp) I've never been in the Chicago area so I know nothing about it. Thanks for the help Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!

fluffyduckie 6 #4 December 9, 2008 It's going to greatly depend on your budget and if you have a car. Jackson Park hospital is not in a great area its self. Hyde Park and Kenwood (these are neighborhoods) are near there and are nice (and can be pricey) It's by the University of Chicago so i imagine there is affordable student level housing in the area. Since you then have to go to Buffalo Grove, I would recommend somewhere on the North Side. LIncoln Square, Logan Square, Roscoe Village, are all decent areas, have good public transit and have pretty quick access to the expressway. If you find you have spare time (yeah, right,) there is a lot to do in those areas too. I have lived in the city in various neighborhoods for 10 years. You can try finding a place at www.chicagoreader.com, I have had a lot of luck with them over the years. If you can give more detail on your situation I can probably focus it down more. Feel free to email me and I will give any other advice I can. "I love when humans fly,"
Superman32 0 #5 December 9, 2008 Thanks That is exactly the kinda of info I'm looking for. I'll have a car so it it would have to be a place that is easily accessible to highways. Thanks again Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!

FreeflyChile 0 #7 December 9, 2008 When is this 6 week period going to be?
Superman32 0 #8 December 9, 2008 Ahh yes the 6 weeks It will start on the 22 of Dec. to the end of Jan. It doesn't leave me a lot of time to search. Its at a very crappy time. I think I'm going up there in the beginning of next week and hit the streets Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
FreeflyChile 0 #9 December 9, 2008 I don't know much about the neighborhoods directly west south or south/west of the Loop (downtown). I live in Wrigleyville/Lakeview and I love it. It's too bad you're coming in the dead of winter because it gets pretty crazy in the summer with all of the street festivals and the Cubs.
