bengal kittens?

Recommended Posts

I need help in finding a bengal kitten... Some time ago a picture of a bengal cat was posted on the site. I saved it and my wife fell in love with the look of the cat. Were looking for new kitten and would like to find the breeder... Thanks for the help

Jim

I think you may need to do a little bit more than just "look at a picture" a see the pretty spots. Bengals are unique, need a bit more attention than average cats, very doglike in nature. They like water. Owners have been reporting "litter box issues". They also cost around $500 for a pet quality kitten.
Have you considered adoption? 4-5 million unwanted cats and dogs are euthanized every year in the US alone...
Just a thought...

Sorry man, she is right. Bengal cats are not for the average cat owner. A friend of mine has two of them and they are not your average cat. Take the intelligence of a Border Collie and mix it with the agility of a cat. BIG TROUBLE if you do not actually train them.

His cats can open the fridge and get into it, they can turn on the stove, turn on the bath tub and a myriad of other scary things if not handled correctly. They are an amazing breed of cat, hell I don't like cats but this breed is awesome (I am a dog person).

I say please make sure you spend some time with the breeders, talk to them and understand this is no where near your normal tabby cat.

So they can cook my meals, and draw my bathwater. Now if they can also operate the vacuum cleaner, I'm just not seeing the downside here.B|

This is a good breeder in NH. Clean facilities and healthy animals in a home setting. We visited them recently and were happy with what we saw.

Bengals are beautiful, high maintenance, spirited cats!

My oldest is probably going to leave us soon, at first I didn't want to even think about replacing him, however I want a Savannah cat.

Hey there! Happy Hump Day!!

As everyone has said they are amazing breeds... I waited a long time til' I was ready to handle one of these guys so be ready!

I bought mine (~$750 for the bengal/his spots and an additional $300 for the flight and papers) and flew him in (to Michigan) from this breeder:

They were very professional and had an awesome bloodline.

Photos attached of my crazy little man who is just now a year old along with a video... They are very trainable inside (fetch, hand tricks, etc) outside (on a leash or to scare birds/squirrels).

Shit, sounds like they could sit with the kids; for a lot less than a babysitter. Probably do a better job of keeping 'em in line too.

WOW! He is stunning!!!!! The videos are adorable. When my kids are raised or at least teenagers I want a Serval... Fell in love with them many years ago, but they are not good in homes with younger kids.... one day....

Thanks for the breeder links and the great photos of your bengals... Missann, Oliver is a really cutie pie:)
We are also looking at a male f3/f4 savannah kitten... We would love to get a real tiger:obut the wife is scared it will take up to much room in the bed... So a mini-tiger is the compromise...

I went to school at Gentle Jungle in Lion country safari about 30 years ago and got to buzzer train Servals. They are so very cool but would defiantly be a handful in a regular home.
