Good question ! Nope. Actually I grew up out of it and named my first son Giovanni (which is the name I would rather have)... But since he is Giovanni the First, I could not be the Second!

When I was young, everyone called me Andi. I hated it and changed it to my full name, Andrea, when I went off to college. My family still insists on calling me Andi though.

I wanted to be a Debbie, just plain ol' Debbie. Having personalized items was really big back in my day, and I SO wanted one of those leather bracelets with my name burned into it. They never had my name, but they always had lots of Debbie bracelets!

It is funny you brought up those leather bracelets. I wanted a normal name too. Try finding one that says Deedy on it.

I like Deedy which is what I have always been called but it is not my real name. A few people in my family still call me by my real name and it drives me nuts as well. Whenever i hear it i jump a foot thinking I am in trouble or something.

I was adopted at 6 mos. Parents argued over my name. My dad won on paper (Franklin) my mom won in real life (Scott). Scott isn't even my middle name. If you knew my parents you'd understand

Still confusing sometimes. I've been at doctors appointments and the receptionist walks out calling for Franklin and I just sit there.
