Holy Crap: 40 Degree temp drop in 12 hours

Wow, this afternoon when I went out to run a few errands at noon it was 37 degrees, now, it is -5 degrees, snowing, really windy, and my roof is making all kinds of thumping noises...

When does summer start? I'm not sure I can take another Minnesota winter.

Sounds like Colorado. During the winter it can drop from 70 degrees to below freezing in that sort of time, especially if there's a chinook blowing.

Yes. Saturday in Broomfield CO, the high was 59F and I went cycling to the top of Lookout Mt and back. Sunday, the high was 6F and I was shoveling about 5" of snow off the drive. (I think it hit about -5F Saturday night).

It is ridiculously cold here in Duluth! And I am hating it and so is my car! Yesterday with all that snow, I went to work for 2 hours and then it was so bad they closed the mall. I got stuck in the mall parking lot TWICE! And my car refuses to start and is shaking. I don't think that's a good sign and I have not a penny to spare to fix it!

I guess it's in shock since it hasn't been driven in winter for 2 years!

Yeah, it's pretty brutal here too. How old is the battery in your car? Mine is 4 years old (the 23rd is my trucks 4th anniversary / birthday) and it is time for a new battery. Is not starting well, and I get all kinds of computer warnings when i start it up.

I hate pumping gas period. But pumping gas when it's this fucking cold out and the wind is blowing at you and your nose hairs and eyebrows are frozen, just plain sucks!
