Not an Aggie

Recommended Posts

Not an Aggie fan or alumnus, don't really know any nor have I ever been on the A&M campus before last night-but Turtle took me to the Bonfire Memorial yesterday and I don't see how anyone can visit there, read that poem, and not get choked up.

Spent three days there for my best friend's graduation.
Freebirds sucks.
The Dixie Chicken was full of horribly drunken redneck idiots that were trying to start fights with anyone within spitting distance.
Dudleys (I think that's the name) was ok, but too close to the Dixie Chicken.
With all the people drinking their oh so precious A&M rings out of a pitcher of Shiner Bock, one of them vomited on my feet.
Can't say I would ever go there again willingly.

I'm really sorry I wasn't able to make it out last night. Let me know for next time and hopefully it'll work out better.

I have yet to go to the Bonfire Memorial, nine years later. I was supposed to be on stack that night and fell asleep getting ready. Spent the rest of the day pulling logs off of stack until we found Scott under the logs that afternoon. Thank you for expressing your understanding and emotions about what you experienced.

I am not technically an aggie in that i did not go to school in college station. But i remember the time that the bonfire fell, and i will never forget driving by the church here in san antonio after one of the funerals and seeing the corps lined up outside the church saluting the casket as it was escorted out to the waiting limo. I am getting choked up just thinking about it again. [:/]

Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.
