iluvtofly 0 #1 December 17, 2008 Yes I got the insurance sales job...and yes I did take everything you guys warned me about into consideration. Thank you for caring. Anyway, I don't actually start working there till the beginning of February. Between now and then I have to take some classes and pass a state exam. I don't plan on completely quitting my current job, just cut down to part-time (just in case things don't work out). Here's my question...should I tell them now that I'm going to be cutting back to part time or wait till 2 weeks before?
Pokerstar 0 #2 December 17, 2008 There isn't a lot of context here to help with the decision, what type of attitude do they ahve about people switching? Will you give up any benefits? Sorry to ask the questions... Oh, congrats on your new job, need a lackey?Fortunately, I'm adhering to a pretty strict, uh, drug, uh, regimen to keep my mind, you know, uh, limber. --- The Dude ---
iluvtofly 0 #3 December 17, 2008 I will have to give up benefits when going down to part time. They're usually pretty good about people switching...my boss realizes that we get paid squat. There is one guy here who went down to part time for a few years due to a new job and he just came back full-time without any problems. If you're a lackey with money welcome aboard.
