grannyinthesky 0 #26 December 17, 2008 Quote i have 8.4 degrees on my patio, but it usually holds a little heat from the house and reads a little high. the good news is its supposed to be windy tomorrow. Gee, darn. If its going to be windy, I can't jump for sure with my 220. "safety first... and What the hell..... safety second, Too!!! TrophyHusband 0 #27 December 17, 2008 btw, i did a jump once with sub-freezing temps on the ground from altitude and it thoroughly sucked. i couldn't decide whether to pull high so i could stick my frozen hands into my armpits or suck it down low to get to the ground quickly. i split the diference and dumped at 3k. i will not jump in those temps again unless its something like a high altitude jump. grannyinthesky 0 #28 December 17, 2008 I can sure understand that. Last winter when i started AFF, it was in the low 20's on the ground. I know now that it was probably in the -20's at altitude. It was flat friggin cold, not that I would admit to it at the time. For some reason, I'm not in a big hurry to jump in our current temps any time soon. I'm headed to Eloy for New Years and I am REALLY glad I made those plans."safety first... and What the hell..... safety second, Too!!!
