DJL 235 #1 December 21, 2008 After a day ice fishing in the slush my boots appear to have slight leaks. It looks mostly like wicking through stitches but it also goes through the fabric a little also. I'm looking at this products, has anyone tried them before? I'm looking at something else for the stitches that's specific to that purpose. eeneR 3 #2 December 21, 2008 Nikwax is a fantastic waterproofer! Highly recommended. I have used it a few times with great success! She is not a "Dumb Blonde" - She is a "Light-Haired Detour Off The Information Superhighway." eeneR TF#72, FB#4130, Incauto
FlyingJ 0 #3 December 21, 2008 It won't perform any miracles (making a pair of tennis shoes waterproof, etc.) but for seam sealing and beefing up previously waterproof stuff it is awesome. Should be good for what you are looking for.Killing threads since 2004.

d_squared431 0 #5 December 21, 2008 Before I opened this thread I was going to suggest nikwax. That stuff works great. Just remember it only last so many washes/ exposures to water. That is what the instructions say. I still have winter gear that if you pour water on it it beads up and rolls right off. Well after 4 yrs sitting in my closet and being washed.TPM Sister#130ONTIG#1 I love vodka.I love vodka cause it rhymes with Tuaca~LisaH You having a clean thought is like billyvance having a clean post.iluvtofly
