You now back in the spring of 2000 I posted on wreck-dot once or twice and got flamed so hard that I walked away from those self-righteous assholes for ever. Although I back read a lot of the posts and I also continued to lurk for a good year. Some of them have come here, quite a few actually. Some have integrated into the community quite well. Some didn't and were banned by HH with his red-hot fork.

I started reading wreck-dot when I was in college in the late '80's.
Back then there were 2 kinds of posts:
- Informative, sharing of information.
- Humorous.

Sometime in the '90's it degenerated into a bully-fest of obnoxious morons.

I still miss guys Bob? Church and Dan Rossi. The latter was a blind guy with the most hilarious stories about mishaps with spotting and landing. His signature line was:
"Flare when you hear the crickets."

Wreck-dot is positive proof that skydivers need adult supervision.
