nomal2day 0 #3 January 2, 2009 The GA aircraft engine manufacturers had good technology 50 years ago. Like Detroit, they rested on their laurels and invested the minimum into R & D. Hence we have inefficient aircraft engines using ancient technology. Hopefully they will follow old Detroit into the past and make way for future innovations, else most powerplants in this country, like most cars in this country, will soon be imported...
