EXTremeWade 0 #3 January 9, 2009 I have XP, and just updated the MSN becuase it kept asking me to for months, and I didn't, but just did becuase I thought if I had the whole package, there may have been some patches that I was missing to delete it all during uninstall wizard..urghh..I want it to go away! EXTremeWade 0 #8 January 9, 2009 XP... I try the beginner approach. Add/remove. It does not work. Says I need to get the patch, already did though. I went next to the c:/, then program files, no dice. "Other programs may be using it"..Thats the msg. I get from that approach. I suppose Microsoft wants me to keep this bad boy. I then went to "msconfig" on the run panel, and I "unchecked" the MSNmsg from being on the start up menu, and rebooted..still my friend..no joy : ( Wade

chiquita24 0 #10 January 9, 2009 So if it's not in the uninstall list, how do you get rid of unwanted programs the correct way?
EXTremeWade 0 #11 January 9, 2009 Its gone!!! I got it!~!! Thank you alll!!!
gravitysurfer 0 #12 January 9, 2009 Depends on the program. He didn't state that it wasn't in the "uninstall" list. Only that he was getting a strange message. After we ended the right running process he was able to remove it. Have fun all!! aloha.
