it seems to me that it would be pretty easy for us to send a bunch of people in a frenzy just by jumping at night where people aren't used to seeing skydivers.

Could be?? I believe a while back some UFO sitings corresponded to some "Some skydiver night jump tricks" somewhere in Texas. "Shadows in the sky at Night"= UFO's??, NO, "Bandit Jumps in Newport Beach at 2:30AM!!" Crack some chem-lights and pack them in the tail of your canopy- great visuals at night!! Drive the whuffo's nutz!!!
