I loved it!

My favorite part was in the very beggining when Tommy Lee Jones is doing the voice over.

"You have to say............................ I'll be a part of this world"

Dont know why I like that line so much, but it stands out in my mind for some reason.

The ending to me was a bit of a let down the 1st time I watched it, but like Conundrum said. It got better the more times I watched it, and I think I actually got the ending finally.

I loved the movie, mainly for one reason, and that is just how suspensful they made it. For example, I have never seen a bad guy in any movie be quite as creepy and terrifying as the killer in NCFOM.

Great movie. Watch it again. It's better the second/third etc. time.

I've been making sure to catch every Coen Bros film since "Blood Simple".
Compared to their other work, I would rate this around the middle.
I will definitely give them credit for introducing the captive-bolt pistol as a hitman's weapon.

I just watched "Burn After Reading" two days ago, and would rate that in the lower third..

Really?

It was no Lebowski or Arizona, but it still has some serious Coen elements and was seriously funny. Its funnier each time you watch it.

Without giving the ending away, I didn't like what happened to certain characters. After I thought about it, though, and looked at the entire movie as a work of cinematography and acting, and also thought about the story (such a violent country really IS no country for old men), I began to appreciate it for what it was.

It had it's good elements, Malkovich was great, but it was almost like he was doing a drama while everyone else was doing a comedy. Brad Pitt's dumb jock was very good, especially that slow, dramatic voice he used when talking to Malkovich.

And of course it had the typical Coen Bros trademark: It was like nothing they've done before.

I'd love to see a new Coen Bros movie that would put me into hysterics again like Arizona. I'm thinking it's time to rent that again.

Froze my ass off at the drive-in to see this when it came out and about the only thing I remember was the desert and I had to get the security to jump me because running the heater killed my battery.

Not one of the better Cohen flicks[:/]

Another movie that did a book justice was A River Runs Through It. I think they did Norman Maclean proud.

It's called the Hillbilly Hop N Pop dude.

I've only watched it once so far but I thought it was great. What's left some people dissatisfied seems to be the way it breaks with movie convention - without wanting to give anything away:

1) No big climactic scene, and no tidy ending.
2) Big things that happen to major characters off-screen and are treated almost as incidental.

You wouldn't want every movie to be like this, but I think as a change it's to be applauded, and it's part of the message of the story. I think it says:

1) Real life isn't wrapped up in neat packages, each with its own resolution.
2) Evil and violence often seem banal from the outside - that is, when they're happening to other people.
3) Although we're the centre of our own universes, we're really all tiny bit players in the big scheme.

Having said all that, I didn't feel like I had to watch the film as some kind of academic exercise. :)
