"Danger, Will Robinson" . . .

Gee, another part of my childhood is gone . . .

Bob May, the actor who played the robot in the "Lost In Space" TV series, past away today in a Lancaster hospital. He was 69.

And believe it or not there is a community of Robbie the Robot Builders:

Man, as soon as I finish the motorcycle . . . ;)

Well that just sucks.. I remember watching all of the original Lost in Space...just could not miss it..
( or any of the other Irwin Allen series back then)

ITs interesting where those actors went through their carrers.

Ahhh Robbie.. I LOVE classic Sci Fi movies. I remember going to the Sat matinee's where a double feature was a dime ( YES I am old)

I have Frobidden Planet in my collection.. in Beta, VHS, Laserdisc and DVD:)
( hey I like to watch them and you just gotta keep up with technology)

Robby in "Forbidden Planet", was not the same robot as the one in "Lost In Space".
There were two different robot suits that showed up in '50's and '60s TV shows and movies, (see attachments).
IIRC, the "Robby" robot actually made a guest appearance once as an alien robot on "Lost In Space".

Amazing how alien robot technology was so similar to earth robot technology. (Also, I think Gort was related to KITT somehow.):)
