skydiver30960 0 #1 December 27, 2008 I have a Best Buy Gift Card from my Christmas stocking and it's burning a hole in my pocket. My thought was to spend WAY more than the card is worth (ergo falling soundly into the trap laid for us by the entire gift card industry) and get an iPod Touch. QUESTION: is the 16Mb version enough for the typical user? Or do I need to sink the extra Benjamin for the 32Mb? The extra memory seems like a good idea but if nobody else is using close to that much then screw it. My plans: music and games. Don't expect to do much movie watching, other than web-based stuff. irisheyes 0 #3 December 28, 2008 I have the 32 almost completely full and I've only had it a month. I transferred everything I had on my old iPod and have been downloading a lot of podcast videos too. I say go for the 32 if you can!

murrays 0 #6 December 28, 2008 Depends on how much music you want to carry around. I have the 8gb Touch and would actually like the 32gb model just so that I'd have all my music on it. Far too often I don't have something I want to listen to.-- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

regulator 0 #8 January 21, 2009 I personally got the 32GB iPod touch myself for christmas (I told my girlfriend waay before the new 2nd generation touches came out I wanted one) Well so far I've got 20 Gigs of videos (350 music videos, and movies I've converted on there) Plus around 2 GB of music (I only put music on there I really like and actually listen to not just download everything and fill it up with crap I dont listen to. And on top of that I've got around 30 apps I've downloaded from the iTunes store. Personally you HAVE got to get iFart. If you are a guy and fart sounds make you crack up this one is awesome. So I'd say the 32 GB way the way to go for me. If you have limited tastes and dont want to watch movies or videos on it( personally I love it because I can load it up with a few movies and its like my own personal theater while I'm on the road away from home) But since its double the capacity for only a hundred bucks more I'd say get the 32GB version. anthonyfellows 0 #9 January 21, 2009 I have the iPhone, but if I am not mistaken, it has the same OS as the iPod Touch. I only have the 8GB, but it seems to be enough for me. It's better than watching a movie on the iPod Video, but I still don't care for watching movies on it and 8GB is more than enough for the music and podcasts that I listen to on a regular basis. Another cool thing is this software that I have on it called Orb Live. It allows me to stream my music and movie collection from my Windows Home Server via 3G or Wifi. I guess as far as the iPod Touch goes, Wifi is the only option for an internet connection.Serious relationships turn into work after a few weeks and I already got a fucking job :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ H.A.F. = Hard As Fuck ... jtnesbitt 0 #10 January 21, 2009 I dont have one, but i want to get one so i can try something. A friend of mine has one and is really into racing cars. He recently downloaded an application that can tell you how many G's you're pulling. Aperently it uses the inputs from the autoleveler to translate Gforce. He lays it flat on his seat to define what he's doing in turns. I am wondering if i could throw it in my pocket and see what i'm pulling under canopy "If this post needs to be moderated I would prefer it to be completly removed and not edited and butchered into a disney movie" - DorkZone Hero
