gonzalesna 1 #1 January 25, 2009 Went to Nagano, Japan to go snowboarding on Saturday. Wish I'd taken pictures. There was some cool stuff there. Definately more skiier friendly, as some of the runs had only 2 ways down... moguls for skiiers and the slight grade for beginners. The moguls were almost all ice, and definately not snowboarder friendly. I found myself going off the runs, as I often do, and into the treeline for that fresh powder. I ended up slamming into trees on 2 occasions, and had to hike out once, as I found myself down by a creek bed and had no way to get back to the runs by going downhill. Quite the challenge with snow about 3 feet deep. Well worth it, nonetheless. No cuts or bruises worth putting on camera though. Sorry.Some people refrain from beating a dead horse.
