virgin-burner 1 #8 January 27, 2009 Quote thats hardcore no, its not, its all a matter of determination, i fucking havent jumped since beginning of november, and it started hitting on my sanity (which is not healthy to begin with..) having two wingsuits in my gearbag, both new (to me) and un-jumped, hasnt helped the case.. go figure! “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. skymama 37 #10 January 27, 2009 Quote I can't wait to live in Florida where there's jumping year round. Well, not really. There's always those pesky summer mid-afternoon storms and hurricanes that ruin a jump day. Once you've been here for awhile and you get used to the warm temps, you'll decide it's too cold to jump when it's below 60 but then it's awful when it's above 95 degrees with 90% humidity. Mark my words, it ain't no Shang-ri-la. Andy_Copland 0 #11 January 27, 2009 Indoor climbing is without a doubt a great time killer for winter. Your third nipple alright? countzero 7 #12 January 27, 2009 it sure is addicting isn't it. if you've got a mentor with a rig they'll let you use, bundle up and go flick something. if you just need to jump i'm sure there's a DZ open closer than FL. you'll just have to wear layers.-- cheersdiamonds are a dawgs best friend

I never thought I'd see the day when I saw a BASE post on DZ.com!!! I feel your pain though. . .I got my first jump last Sunday. It was off a 930' A. Then the weather moved in and it was all of 14 degrees yesterday!! Today it'll be a high of 22 but the wind forecast looks great so. . .Here comes the FrijolOn a side note. . .our DZ won't send a load if it's below 32deg (F) on the ground That being said we've jumped in some COLD like -14 at alt. . .Gawddang I love this sport!!! edit to add. . .I'm very happy I bought my own BASE rig !!!If your gonna be dumb ya gotta be tough.
