poe62 0 #1 January 27, 2009 http://www.wisegeek.com/can-you-really-mail-a-coconut.htm I don't know why this excites me so much Believe it or not, the United States Postal Service (USPS) does allow ordinary citizens to mail a coconut without any additional packaging required. It is just as easy to mail a coconut as it is to ship a standard package or crate. The USPS views a coconut as a self-contained unit, one which cannot be easily tampered with by criminals or readily examined by postal inspectors. As long as the coconut contains both a proper address label and sufficient postage, the USPS will literally mail a coconut for you.~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity

poe62 0 #4 January 27, 2009 I think we should pick ONE person and all of US mail them to that person. It'd be a coconut extravaganza! ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity

normiss 898 #6 January 27, 2009 My coconuts won't take staples. Show us your coconuts! I like your idea about the mass mailing though...that's pretty funny. Maybe we should all mail skymama our coconuts!
poe62 0 #7 January 27, 2009 Bolas has a pic of my coconuts from a drunk texting night. He better be a good boy and not send them to anyone. ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity
prodiver913 0 #8 January 27, 2009 i lived in Hawaii for 6 years and we did a few times. At first I was like, " Really?" But you can!! I'm completely in favor of the separation of Church and State. My idea is that these two institutions screw us up enough on their own, so both of them together is certain death.

skymama 37 #12 January 27, 2009 lol...can you imagine what the kids would say if coconuts kept showing up at the house? I wonder if the person at the Post Office still goes through the whole, "anything liquid, fragile, perishible or flamable in your package"? What about the coconut milk in there? She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
MikeJD 0 #13 January 27, 2009 I guess this works better in countries where most people have mailboxes that coconuts can fit into. If you have a mail slot in your front door instead, it's hard to deliver a coconut through it (at least without the use of a hammer). If I had to go to the post office depot to collect a 'package' that was too big to fit through my door, and I found out I'd gone all that way to pick up a coconut, I wouldn't be amused.
