skydiver30960 0 #1 January 28, 2009 Check out Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts: http://www.amazon.com/Shantaram-Novel-Gregory-David-Roberts/dp/0312330537/ref=pd_bbs_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1233105714&sr=8-2 Awesome book. It's sort of a "Robin Hood in Bombay" kind of thing that is (at least loosely) based on the author's life. There's already another thread on the book here: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3220858;search_string=shantaram;#3220858 ...but with Slumdog Millionaire out and everybody ranting about it I figured it was worth an additional mention. It is two things that one rarely finds in one book: it's long and it's easy to read. Good characters, good action, good story. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good read, and if you liked Slumdog Millionaire it's an even deeper look into Mumbai/Bombay. Peej 0 #3 January 28, 2009 E, Shantaram is one of my favourite books of all time, have you read "Q and A" by Vikas Swarup? It's the book that Slumdog is based on. Check it out - well worth reading Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky
