livendive 8 #2 January 28, 2009 Some of the World of Warcraft stuff is absurd, but the general goals seem pretty solid to me. If my employer could challenge, assess, and reward my performance as quickly as WoW, I'd enjoy work more and likely be more productive. The comment about risk is right on though...the consequences of a world-class screw-up at work are substantially higher than a few minute hike back to my body in WoW. However the committment I have to not disappointing party-members in the game would be a nice improvement to teaming in the workplace. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" quade 4 #3 January 28, 2009 What the WoW articles fails to mention is that given enough time, a monkey randomly pressing his keyboard can "get to 80." This would not be tolerated or rewarded anywhere in a corporate setting. I do agree that certain aspects of WoW, if they could be applied to job and teaching, would be amazing. Just imagine an employee that WANTED to stay on-line 20 hours a day to work to kill the competition just so he could get a shinny new Vorple Sword with +10 INT. Unfortunately, guild leaders still would have to deal with guild drama.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
