Ahead of the big blizzard of '94, my friend suggested I come down to his place and crash, drink beer and watch movies, because once the storm hit, nobody was going anywhere for several days. He was right. Anyway, we couldn't drive because of the snow and ice, so we walked to the corner store, and he had an empty backpack. We bought a case of beer, put it in the backpack and he put it on his back. We were walking back on the slick sidewalk, DUH, and I watched his feet go out from under him and he landed squarely on his back, with the case of beer absorbing the impact. Quickly, I opened the backpack to check for damage. No leaks.... but half the cans suffered some crumpling. One of the funniest sights I've ever seen.
