JohnRich 4 #1 January 30, 2009 What's your favorite steak sauce for a steak? I don't even know what those last three are, but they seem to be popular in Canada and England, according to Google. Okay, who's the nut that puts mustard on a steak? Euuwww! Mustard is for hot dogs, hamburgers, and ham sammiches.
iluvtofly 0 #2 January 30, 2009 A1 is the best sauce...of course a really good steak doesn't need any sauce.

efs4ever 3 #4 January 30, 2009 At a Restaurant, NONE. I cook porterhouse and ribeye with seasoned pepper and Adams Steak Seasoning, sometimes with a light coating of Heinz Ketchup that becomes a nice glaze. I also use about 1/3 cup of wet hickory chips on the side of the charcoal pile. A splash of teriyaki BEFORE cooking sometimes. Just the juice from my medium rare steak with the applied seasonings is all I need.Russell M. Amazon 7 #6 January 30, 2009 I buy very good cuts of steak and there is no way I am going to adulterate it with a steak sauce. I want to taste the meat Cuts... Prime rib.. at least once a week Rib Eye..
JohnMitchell 16 #7 January 30, 2009 I buy very . . . thrifty cuts of meat but they still taste great after a nice hot searing, cooked rare. We keep some A-1 sauce in the fridge, but it's rare that anyone drags it out unless company wants it. With the exception of an occasional marinade, I like my beef tasting just like beef. popsjumper 2 #15 January 30, 2009 Quotewhen i order a steak, if i need sauce i return it, sauces are gross! Same here except that I don't think sauces are gross. I just don't understand why anyone would smother the taste of a good steak with any kind of "sauce" unless it was a specialty cooking of some sort. I like mine medium rare, straight up. Every once in a while, for a change of pace, I'll marinade overnight with teriyake. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. futuredivot 0 #17 January 30, 2009 I answered too soon. A1 is my favorite steak sauce, but I don't put anything on a steak unless I'm trying to cover up an inferior one. A1 is great on pizza. You are only as strong as the prey you devour
skymama 37 #18 January 30, 2009 I don't like seeing blood on my plate, so I order my steaks medium well and then I put ketchup on it. Although, I'd really rather have mushrooms on it, but that wasn't part of the poll. I'd actually rather have a hamburger than a piece of steak! If a guy wants to impress me with his cooking though, he should go for the fish.
