Nursery songs to sing to your kid

Recommended Posts

Okay, I admit it, I never learned any of them growing up, is that really a surprise? :P

Recently while on a weekend trip to visit cousins where my girl was playing with her cousin who's only a few months older, I noticed them singing while dancing in a circle and then dropping.

Finally learned what it was:

Ring around the roseys
Pockets full of poseys
Ashes to ashes
We all fall down

Oddly enough, that song is about the black plague. :S But she plays along when I sing it now.

Are there any others?

"Everybody's doing it, doing it, doing it."

"Picking their nose and chewing it, chewing it, chewing it."

I still think of that song when ever I hear someone say,
"But, everybody's doing it."

That's the lesson.
