That included replacing some rotted boards, stripping and refinishing the hull, and overhauling the engine. Then after it was all done, he was hoisting the boat off the work cradle and onto the trailer, when a hoist chain broke, dropping the stern 4 feet onto concrete, smashing the bottom of the hull.
