happythoughts 0 #1 February 13, 2009 Cats roam around in the kitchen and get on the counters. Sometimes, they stray to close to the stove and singe their little furry parts. They take away different lessons from the experience. Some cats will never get on a counter again, because it is somehow linked to a stove. Some cats will never get near a stove again, hot or cold. Some will learn to approach slowly and look for signs of temperature. They act according to their observations. They learn that their are hot and cold stoves. Funny how cats are. Radiance 0 #2 February 13, 2009 Interesting how some cats have to get hurt again and again until they finally learn, and some just never learn at all. I wonder if they secretly find life too boring without the pain? We should not let our fears hold us back from pursuing our hopes. -- John Fitzgerald Kennedy. I wonder if they secretly find life too boring without the pain? There are actions which are not going to have a good ending, but what is happening in the present tense is too much fun to miss. Like people who close the bar on a work night, or re-date someone who was a poor experience (or someone just like them). Sure, those cats know better, but why miss the action today? bad idea
