Design a porn site?

Recommended Posts

I was out at the bars tonight. I'm asking the bartender if I can take pictures of the bottles of alcohol. More specifically the typography on the bottles. Some how the discussion of web design comes up with the guy and girl sitting next to me and my friend. He says something about where to find a web designer so I say 'oh I do some web design' and he starts talking to me about making a website. My friend who is at the bar with me happens to be a programmer so then it turns into talk of a full blown website. We are discussing what he needs and he isn't sure so he tells us what type of website it is thinking we may know what he needs. porn. Do I make the site? Oh and his fiance. Outrageously hot.

If you don't have a problem with watching porn then you shouldn't have a problem designing the site. It is a paying job and I'm sure there are a few dz.commers who will appreciate your hard work. As well as you get too see some porn you may not have seen yet......

Presumably you will only design the site, while the control over its content will be entirely in someone else's hands. Nonetheless, pornography sites often exploit minors, or have links to other sites that exploit minors, which of course is illegal. Let's not even discuss, for the moment, the morality of using your skills and creativity to even potentially facilitate that type of exploitation by designing a porn website. Let's just make it strictly business. All it takes is one ambitious prosecutor who decides to try to get a court to extend criminal liability for child pornography to the website's designer to make your life - win or lose - really interesting and expensive.

If it is a legitimate business, (incorporated, etc) it may be a good business venture. As for your resume, you may want to incorporate to limit liability as well as working anonymously, so that it can't come back and bite you in the ass.
Fortunately, I'm adhering to a pretty strict, uh, drug, uh, regimen to keep my mind, you know, uh, limber.
