Dionysus 0 #1 October 3, 2005 So I have been wondering if anyone here has played around with shorter or longer risers to "tune" their canopy? Now obviously if you put longer or shorter risers on your rig your control range will move up or down by a corresponding amount relative to your body and you will also be changing your distance from the canopy. So what I'm wondering is would, for example, two inch longer risers change the feel and recovery arc by any appreciable amount? I don't feel the need to change anything on my rig I was just curious if anyone has tried it before.
dragon2 2 #2 October 3, 2005 Longer risers are usually used to let the canopy spread out more = more performance. I personally don't like long(er) risers because then I can't reach my slider, and I'm no swooper. But the top swoopers have pretty long risers. ciel bleu, Saskia
Kris 0 #3 October 3, 2005 In addition to letting the canopy spread more, longer risers will also increase the recovery arc on a canopy.Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
