lekstrom10k 0 #1 February 16, 2009 As usual on many crappy weather week ends in Michigan, I will go to see some movies with the $12.00 pop corn included. I saw "Taken" and can honestly say it makes James Bond seem like Barnie Fife.I saw "Gran Torino" at a special showing before Christmas. and thought it was great as it was filmed less than10 miles from me. Would you agree that you wouldnt want Liam mad at you ? As always I wont tell anyone anything about it other than I think you would like it
pilotdave 0 #2 February 16, 2009 I thought Taken was great. Not very realistic (he should have died about 20 times). It reminded me a little of Man on Fire... but not as good. And I absolutely hated gran turino. Dave
jtval 0 #3 February 16, 2009 I thought it was stupid. There was nothing compelling about the storyline. The daughters acting was atrocious. Why was she always running? I will say that I watched it late at night and only got 1/2 way before I fell asleep. I finished watching the next day. Maybe that has something to do with it but it's the same movie. Someone was taken/held hostage/captive while someone who is trying to start a normal life is sucked back into being a vigilante. In the process he takes down an entire crime syndicate that no one has been able to infiltrate. I'd rather watch "you don't mess with the zohan" because the chick who plays the love interest is HOOOOT!My photos My Videos

Peej 0 #5 February 17, 2009 I really enjoyed it and thought he was totally badass! I'd agree that it reminded me of "Man on fire" which i would rate as one of my top movies of all time. Watched the original the other day which was pretty cool too. Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky

gonzalesna 0 #8 February 17, 2009 I've seen both gran torino and taken. I thought both were great movies. Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.
LongWayToFall 0 #9 February 17, 2009 My bro just got back from watching it tonight and said he really liked it. I heard it was from the same director as the transporter and I thought it was gunna suck major nuts, so it was a surprise.

Taunting; when all of your appeals were declined.

When it comes to movies that are of questionable entertainment value, I go to one of the morning showing before noon. The cost to get in is $5.00. I dont feel quite so bad at that price if the movie was not all that great. Then again I am pretty selective in what I want to go see. Most of the rest of them.. will eventually get to cable.
