guppie01 0 #1 February 20, 2009 Back in 1998 I visited a DZ in North Carolina, or maybe the northern part of South Carolina (I know it was within an hour and a half drive from Charlotte) to do my first tandem. It was drizzling, but the DZ decided to go ahead have the group of tandems briefed just in case the weather broke. Anywho... I've always wanted to try and track down that tandem instructor.... why... b/c he scared the bejesus out of me (in a funny way). Part of his briefing he made comment "if you don't cooperate in the sky, I will punch you out!" "So are you ready to go jump?" At that point I was just afraid to even speak! So... any of you know of any TI's in that area and that time frame who used that as part of his tandem briefing. I would really like to buy the guy a beer or two for making me shit my pants (figuratively speaking). Oh, and we never got to jump - the rain got worse. g"Let's do something romantic this Saturday... how bout we bust out the restraints?" Raddest Ho this side of Jersey #1 - MISS YOU OMG, is she okay? guppie01 0 #4 February 20, 2009 QuoteTurbine or 182 DZ? If memory serves it was a cessna DZ... it was pretty small. Funny I can see the layout of the whole DZ in my head, but I don't remember where the fart it was. g"Let's do something romantic this Saturday... how bout we bust out the restraints?" futuredivot 0 #5 February 20, 2009 Flying Tiger is south of Charlotte about 2 hours. CEU is a single runway airport (paved) may have trained in the FBO or hanger but jump operations were/are typically staged out of a tarp. Presently has an orange and white and a green and white 182.You are only as strong as the prey you devour
