Fitness Updates! Feb 20 - 27 2009

Ok so I missed it on Friday! :$ How have you been doing?

Monday I didn't do the 'tough' 11am Zumba because my heart was feeling weird. So I waited and did the 6:30pm 'easier' Zumba. Good call. Heart rate still freaked out at 214 bpm while we were cooling down. Stupid ol' heart! >:(

I did a tough step and lift (cardio and weight lifting) yesterday morning then 25 minutes in the sauna. I ate well all day until dinner, when I had pizza and whatever I wanted 'cuz it was FAT TUESDAY!!! B|

Today I'm doing the tough Zumba again at 4:20. All I've eaten was a couple o' chicken legs (which I shouldn't have had, I'm not s'posed to eat meat today, I forgot! :S). I've given up processed foods, white sugars and flours, and preservatives for Lent, so this will bust through this weight plateau for sure!!! :)

I stopped looking at my exercise ball at home and using it....:D

I pulled a muscle in my back so im not using the ball right now but i have been scootering with the 8 yr old(that can be a work out) skating(only 1 time but still fun) and i think that is it...:D

I did drop 1 more lb this week. Prolly would have been two but i did have a few glasses of wine and beer...:)

I will be happy to get rid of the next 5 lbs if anyone wants them..:D

Scootering can wear ya out! My lil' boys love it, too. B| DON'T try a trampoline with lil' boys unless you're REALLY looking to tire yourself out. Oy!!! B|:P

1 pound down is better than 1 up or the same! That's what my mommy always says. :)

My Zumba instructor picked up another class on Monday nights at a club that isn't exactly on my way home but is also not completely out of my way- sort of like the Wednesday night class! So, now if I want (and can get out of the office at a decent time) I can do Zumba twice a week!

She changes up her music and choreography every 2 weeks or so, but when she saw me Monday, she said the Wednesday class would be pretty much the same so I could teach it with her. :D:D:D She knows I am a "remedial student" and need the extra work! lol

Took tonight off for the first time in over a week, and tomorrow we're going for an off-base run with Psycho Wyco. I figured I'd let myself recover, because it's going to be at least a 7 mile run. The last run with the sadistic Senior Chief was 6.8, and with a thinned out group because of unplanned circumstances, the suspicion is that he'll bump it up to over 7 this time, just how much farther is up for debate. Either way I'm keeping up with the Wolf Pack this time instead of running back to pull slackers out of the woods.

On other notes, I've been slowly trying out new pairs of running shoes. Tried New Balance 1224's, liked them a lot, but the support was lacking. Exchanged for a pair of Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5's, and they're amazing. Maybe half a size smaller, and they'd be perfect. And on a better note, I registered for my first 10k. Takes place on the 28th of March, 2 days after my 26th birthday.B|
