Nataly 38 #52 February 22, 2009 Quote Quote My original post clearly specified that I was looking for light-hearted, imaginative and funny ways for me to *laugh* about my situation. I get it....you're ultra passive-aggressive. Sorry I stepped in. Not passive-aggressive, just want a bit of humour in an otherwise unpleasant situation. The worst thing in all of this is I don't think she means to be such a pain. And we have *tried* to help the situation, but I don't think she is *able* to change. She's just a complete disaster. Therefore I light of all of this, I thought I would indulge in some harmless imaginary "role-play", if you will. Anyway, there have been plenty of amusing suggestions - thanks for everyone's input Now I need to go to bed!!! ryoder 1,590 #54 February 22, 2009 OK, my bad roommate story: Right out of high school I roomed with a former classmate. The guy was dumb as a box of rocks, lazy as hell, and completely oblivious in social situations. Unfortunately, he was not shy, but in fact completely the opposite. Put him in a situation where we had just met a couple chicks, and his mouth would run non-stop, boring everyone to tears, even though he had absolutely nothing to say. I have an assortment of stories, but this is probably near the top: One evening I had a date, and deliberately brought her back to the house late enough that I knew he would already have gone to bed. We turned on the TV and snuggled up on the couch together. Unfortunately, the sound of the TV was enough to wake up Stupid. Not knowing I was not alone, he walked out into the living room to chat with me...wearing only his white briefs with his belly overhanging....and...one hand reaching down inside the briefs scratching his balls. Upon seeing my guest, his eyes bulged as he made a series of sounds like someone strangling a frog, and bolted back into the bedroom. "Good", I thought, "He is so embarrassed that I won't need to worry about him screwing up my evening any further." But nooooooo...... The dumbass put on a bathrobe and came back out to the living room to "chat with us"!!!Now this was a first date, (and sadly also a last date date), so it didn't seem appropriate do drag her off to my room and lock the door to escape Motor Mouth, so once it became apparent nothing short of a club over the head would give him the hint to bug off, I just took her home. Bolas 5 #55 March 2, 2009 Charge her fees. Currently if she doesn't do something, there really is no consequence. To make it fair though, setup common area rules and cleaning duties along with monetary penalties. BAse it on the cost of hiring someone to clean the mess. This way if you or your roommate do it, you can earn extra cash. You have another roommate right? You have a meeting and democratically vote on all this. 2 against 1. Silly answer: Talk up your ex to her. Have the 3 of you meet for dinner and then fake an emergency. 2 stones with 1 bird... Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh.
