Medieval Times?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever visited Medieval Times before?

Can you tell me about it? And do you think that any of the "royalty" packages are necessary, particularly for the special seating in the front 1-3 rows?

I love that place! B|

Don't spend any extra money for 'packages.' Just be sure to get a picture taken in costume when you get there. General admission is fine. :)
Mid-section is best in my opinioin. You can see the show better.

I've been to the one in Dallas probably 20 times growing up...it's great for a first time visit especially with young people. They used to not charge so much for all the extras...or charge at all. The 1st few rows are fun so you're closer to the knights. They talk to you sometimes (or toss flowers and give the sash to you), and they can be funny depending on the actor.

I only went to an outdoor medieval festival once, south of Atlanta maybe 10 years ago. I consumed an entire giant roasted turkey leg, watched a little jousting, a cool raptor show and other assorted attractions.

For me personally, I would rather have a Steak and a BJ, and do something else. :D

I went nearly twenty years ago to the Buena Park location. I had a blast. I think I just had the basic package - it was like $35-40 then.

We're going to be taking my kids and son in law. One is 14. The rest are WELL over 21.

It is rather pricey, B| but they offer a group of four package for $100 that isn't quite so bad.

A nice dinner out would probably set us back as much.

There is an area set up for photos, costumes provided. It's fun. :)

That is a great price for a family package. You're there for hours, great food and great show!

You will all love it. :)

You're undoubtedly talking about this. But we won't be in Georgia then, so my son suggested the restaurant instead.

And Billy, you're crude, rude and socially unacceptable anyway. This would be the PERFECT place for you! >:(:D

Somehow, I don't think I'm going to get any of the "menfolk" to do that! ;)

My honey wouldn't trust me not to post his here! :)

To do what? Pose in Medieval costume?

Nope. I don't think they would.

First there's me and my honey. Then a son who is almost 30, a daughter who is almost 28, a son in law who is under 25, a daughter who is almost 21 and a son who is 14.

They all have "images" to keep, ya' know. ;)

Yep, that's what I went to! Shit, do they still have it there! :o Hell, Skinnyshrek and I probably could have had our own show there on being crude, rude and socially unacceptable! :D

Yup, they'll be having one starting April 18. But I'll be safely back in Georgia then. ;)

They do have one in Texas around November, but I've never been to that one.

That's silly. They make great family photos. You get to pick out what you want to wear. :)

I'll be shocked and amazed if I can get many of them to do it.

Does that part cost extra?

It was included in the package at our place. You might want to call where you are going and ask.

I guess I'll ask when I make the reservations. Looking at the ticket packages, I'm not sure it's included, though. :S

I just called. If you upgrade to this, it's $180 for 4 people.

King’s Royalty Package:

Guaranteed front-row seating
Framed group entrance photo
"Behind the Scenes" DVD
Commemorative program
Knights cheering banner

If you just want to add the picture, it's $20 per person in the picture.

That's ridiculous! I'd do it though. :D

Wow! That's pretty damned expensive! :o there's going to be at least 6, possibly 8 of us! B|

I wonder if I could buy JUST two of the $100 four packs and then buy the photo thing separately? Of course, that's saying I could GET any of them to DO the photo! [:/]
