virgin-burner 1 #1 March 9, 2009 .. your in-official translation whore on those forums regarding press articles regarding news from switzerland.. yup, i've wasted a couple of hours of my life on translating articles regarding BASEjumping-fatalities and wingsuit-related stuff over the course of last week or so. i did it mostly coz i'm obviously interested in the topic. fair enough, no-one has asked me to do it, i just did for the "community". if you want to find out more, check my latest posts on here and bj.com. so, not even a single-fucking-thank-you-sir-for-doing-this-shit-since-i'm-way-to-fucking-stupid-to-speak-anything-more-than-fucking-english. and no, its not bablefish. its me and my time, trying to present an enjoyable read for you native speakers out there.. what really gets me upset, besides the obvious, is that some dork proceeds to take one part of the translation apart, which already sounded funny in german, to a humorous translation into a language that about 99% of the readers on here would understand. no, this thread is not about getting a "thank you" from the crowd. its about the appreciation about some of us that actually spend some of their time to make something available to the public. several people come to MY mind, and i never get tired of admiring their work and what it gives back to me. personally, i'd probably still call 'em out on being gay, cock-loving sheep-fuckers in public, but, i'd shout a PM, an IM or sumthing, saying that was great from you and i have learned from it or appreciate it in other ways.. rant over!“Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S.
