JohnMitchell 16 #26 March 17, 2009 Quote Attitudes like this don't last long. You might want to check yourself. I certainly wouldn't want to work with you. Sounds like you've been doing some sucking up too with a comment like that. Do your own job, do what you have to do and don't worry about what others do. The truth comes out eventually. I think a good reputation comes from what you said in the last of your post, Lisa, not from sucking up. In my work place, I have a sometimes hard nosed reputation for trying to do the right thing, regardless of popular opinion. I've certainly never been accused of playing politics. I've had a few confrontations, but overall I think I've earned respect in the long run. Be true to yourself, and the truth wins out. Hey, Happy St. Paddy's, Lisa, thanks for the glitter. MUAH. JohnMitchell 16 #28 March 17, 2009 She's going to like having a place of her own, that's certain. As for bad coworkers, I don't know if any job excludes those.I think hanging around with skydivers will improve her life. It definitely improved mine. That's almost sad, isn't it? Nataly 38 #29 March 17, 2009 Quote I meant in general, she has or had that room mate from hell, now the co-worker from hell, the girl just doesn't catch a break! Ah ha ha!! Aww.. It's not all bad.. I do work in the beauty industry, and live in London.. Both of which can attract some pretty "interesting" characters.. And anyway, she's not really the co-worker from hell.. It's quite possible she just wanted the job & it had less to do with *me* than with that.. Still disheartening when you work so hard and someone sucker-punches you like that. But yeah.. I don't want to live my life like that. I think I'd prefer to be respected even if I didn't make it as far as a result. But hey - I'm human.. I still *hope* good things will come my way!! I could definitely stand to be more mellow & less stressed, but it's hard right now because it feels like everything's hitting me at once. On the plus side, I do have some really loyal friends, my family really cares about me, I've got a job and a roof over my head.. It's not all bad!!
