Nutz 0 #1 March 25, 2009 So I am at breakfast and there is a story on the news about the floods in North Dakota? Anyway, they are talking about people dropping dynamite out of helicoptors onto ice jams in the Red River. I thought that would be a cool job. One of them says that I could just swoop down under my parachute and drop the dynamite. Then they were wondering about a piece of lit dynamite in freefall. What would happen if you threw it. My opinion is that dynamite would be floaty and regarless, I'm getting the hell away from it. Whuffos. "Don't! Get! Eliminated!"

BillyVance 35 #3 March 25, 2009 Hop and hop. Flip yourself 180 degrees in the harness. Make sure dynamite stick has an extra long fuse and light it off to the side, then bombs away! Might even get an extra lift from the blast wave! Nutz 0 #4 March 25, 2009 What about the lit dynamite in freefall? Is it floaty? Oh I see, track like hell. Alright, how did you get in freefall with a lit stick of dynamite in the first place? "Don't! Get! Eliminated!"

I do know that dynamite propelled from the top of a cliff will momentarily hang suspended in mid-air before accelerating to explode at the same height as a freefalling coyote. Whether that applies to all dynamite or only the ACME brand, I couldn't say.
