Squeak 17 #1 April 1, 2009 I'll be landing in Heathrow in 3 weeks and will be in Europe for about 10 weeks. I was looking at car rentals for running about Europe but the seem t5o be coming in at about $3500 USD. What sort of money can i expect to pay for a used beater car that will last 3 months, and get me around Europe? You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! BillyVance 35 #2 April 1, 2009 How about hitch-hiking, or using the train system? They have a pretty good transit system from what I've read. Not everybody owns a car there, whereas here in America it's not unusual for a family to own 3 vehicles."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban

Maybe scooters or motorcycles with storage space? How much luggage are you carrying? There are some hostels that backpackers use in Europe that are cheap, but since I've never done that there I don't know where to look. Or you could try finding a DZ.commer near where you want to go and crash out on their floor. The time off is costing nothing really, we just put our jobs on hold (so to speak) the Tickets including full insurance cost the most ($15,000 AUS) but we had been planning it for 4 years. We have organised to have our pays garnished 20% for the last 4 years, and throughout this year we get that 80% (4x20%) paid back to us as a salary, so we still earn an income whilst traveling. Plus we have some savings in reserve should shit hit the fan.You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
