iluvtofly 0 #1 April 2, 2009 I figured they had already made every music countdown possible. But now there's a new one on. 100 Greatest 1 Hit Wonders of The 80's 80's music kicks ass.
LisaH 0 #2 April 2, 2009 They've done that countdown for years. Be yourself! MooOOooOoo
iluvtofly 0 #3 April 2, 2009 I actually think it's a new one. They were talking about it being the premier. Plus in the commentary they've been making comments related to recent events.

BillyVance 35 #5 April 2, 2009 Quote 80's music kicks ass. Yes it does. It's MY era, back when I was just hard of hearing. I think I can blame it for making me FUCKING DEAF! AC/DC, Van Halen, U2, Def Leppard, etc.... I can't even remember any of the one hit wonders from then, but I do have a CD called "Hits of the 80's" in the cabinet somewhere."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban

There were some great, and some awful, records around in the 80s. Certainly it was a more interesting time for music than it is at the moment. Funny how every decade gets its day though, isn't it? By the late 90s nearly everyone would have said that 80s music was the worst ever, but 10 years on the nostalgia effect kicks in! So now we have a load of shows about how great the 80s were, and loads of new bands showing the influence of that time. I have a bit of a thing against 'countdown' and 'list' shows, even though it doesn't stop me watching them

They even recycle the same people for their different "reality" shows- and the basic concepts are pretty much stolen from other shows. Still, Rock of Love is comedy gold! downwardspiral 0 #8 April 2, 2009 Quote I have a bit of a thing against 'countdown' and 'list' shows, even though it doesn't stop me watching them . It's about the cheapest and most cynical TV you can make - recycle a load of old clips, and pad out the show with D-list talking heads reminiscing about them endlessly (and usually inaccurately!) I was pretty pissed when Welcome to the Jungle made #1 hard rock song over so many better songs. 10. Ace of Spades – Motorhead 9. Runnin With the Devil – Van Halen 8. Walk This Way – Aerosmith 7. Smells Like Teen Spirit – Nirvana 6. Won’t Get Fooled Again – The Who 5. Enter Sandman – Metallica 4. Paranoid – Black Sabbath 3. Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin 2. Back in Black - AC/DC 1. Welcome to the Jungle - Guns N’ Roses VH1 obviously needs to stick to reality shows. www.FourWheelerHB.com
