BillyVance 35 #2 April 3, 2009 My blackberry always go into my back left pocket. It creates about as much bulk as my wallet so I like to even things out. The clip latches on the pocket hem. I have had it fly off a few times, especially when getting out of the car or truck and it catches on the seatbelt. How many fuckery messages do you get from friends? Fast 0 #3 April 3, 2009 I shove the thing in my pocket. The one thing I hate about this phone is it lacks a missed call reminder annoyance beep. My old phone beeped constantly when i had a missed call/text/message waiting, this one just sits there waiting to have me look at it. I don't know if they sell the non-3g ones anymore, but if they do, don't buy one. I hate my non-3g phone basically.~D Where troubles melt like lemon drops Away above the chimney tops That's where you'll find me. Icon134 0 #4 April 3, 2009 actually one of the things that is enticing me to finally leave verizon and get an iPhone is that will have more freedom to add applications that I want and not be locked into verizon telling me what software I get to have... (er... which is more or less nothing... for my Dare which was "touted" as an iPhone-esk phone but is no where close) Scott edited to add: I'm still not going to buy a Mac... diverds 0 #6 April 3, 2009 Hey Jay, It fits in front pockets of shorts or jeans just fine. It's a bit larger than most flip phones but also a bit thinner so it's really not a problem. You will love it. Make sure the first app you buy is Flight Control. Most addictive game ever. The entire dropzone is playing it here. edit spelling Skydive Radio

doug925 0 #8 April 3, 2009 I too drank the koolaid and bought Verizon's version of the Iphone. (VX1000) Well, i am about to pony up the early termination and go buy the Iphone. I am tired of Verizon's "version" of the net. Also, charging subscription for app that you only pay once for with apple is stupid! (and VERY restrictive too) It's really too bad, as I like Verizon as a company, and think that service is great. However the shortcomings and limitations of Verizon have become too much. Doug. PS Thanatos, just stick it in your front pocket. Or carry a man-purse! I have never developed indigestion from eating my words. Requires the heat from your finger to work, so you can't randomly pants dial. eta: I just put mine in my pocket. My guess is that was the excuse used by the person that dialed the phone but it didn't actually happen. I simply can not in my wildest imagination believe the phone could be successfully dialed by any amount of shuffling around in a pocket.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
jtnesbitt 0 #14 April 3, 2009 My stepdad has one and calls me all the time. He says i am the only one it happens to so i am wondering if it is a speeddial or shortbut option. Seriously though no joking around it's about once every couple weeks. kingbunky 3 #16 April 3, 2009 i dunno. to make a call you have to hit a button (pretty much any one will do), then swipe to open the phone. if you have a lock code, you have to enter it. then you have to pick the phone app, then pick a number off you favourites list, pick one from contacts or enter a number. if it's locked, i think you have an option to make an emergency call, but that's about it. too many things have to happen in the right order to make a call for it to happen by accident, with any regularity. now that i look at it, it's actually a lot of steps to make a phone call! good thing i don't use it for that much. You can lock the phone, but again, the touch screen works with the heat of your finger. If you touch the face of the iphone with a coin, nothing happens. Not sure how it would even be possible to pants dial.

As others have mentioned it's a sequence of touches and swipes that requires a certain amount of finesse I seriously doubt could happen by accident. I do not lock my phone and have carried it around in my front pocket constantly for the last two years. It has never once even come close to firing up, let alone making a phone call. I just do not see how it's possible. BillyVance 35 #23 April 3, 2009 It has happened to my pager a few times just by trying to pull the pager out of its holster while the holster is in my back pocket. Some of the keys get pressed by accident and when I pull the pager up to my face, I see it attempting to call somebody. The good thing is that I don't have a calling plan. IE, I cannot call or receive voice calls.
