I'm thinking about becoming a DZ bum for a month. To get my freaking A and a boat load more jumps.

Any suggestions on which DZ to go to? Maybe I'll try each out a week at a time.

Also what is protocol for becoming a DZ bum?

Which month? Do you have any expectations for temperature and weather?

Is the lowest jump cost a factor?

In Feb.

My school starts in the summer so I figure I could chill at a DZ do a bunch of jumps. Learn more about the sport, help out....etc.

At this point, its about meeting new people, learning, letting go, and seeing new things.

Florida is great this time of year! I love Z Hills and if I did not have all my bills (mtg., car, etc.) that is where I would be. TK runs a great DZ

ZHills of all the places I jumped this summer was the nicest and most fun when when busy OR slow. Paul and Jenine rocked and took Great care of me while I was there (I Swear Jenine came in early just to make coffee for me and made sure I got MUFFED 4310 :) )Paul made sure I was included in the evening events at the bar too.

Protocol?

Buy a case of Ramen.

Stake out a corer of the hanger/deck/steps in front of manifest.

Hover over the DZ office coffee machine in the mornings.

Know when the hot water comes on.

Get to the crapper before the punters pee on the seats.

Pack anything that is on the floor and then go collecting moola.

Decorate your corner of the bunkhouse/tent/trailer.

Get to the beer fridge 10 seconds after someone puts a case in there, and then be loudly pissed off an hour later when there is nothing left.
