skymama 37 #1 April 15, 2009 Fess up, who are the procrastinators here still working on filing today? Has anyone already gotten their refund and spent it on something cool? Me...I'll just be socking away my refund to pay bills while my husband is out of a job. Nine years ago, I spent it on learning to skydive. Ahh, the memories. JohnMitchell 16 #5 April 15, 2009 My accountant finished my return last week, and I owed ~$600 more. Not a big deal; I was expecting a lot more. She's really good at getting us all the deductions and depreciations she can. Funny how dividends pay you a lot of money during a year when the market tanked so badly, and you have to still pay taxes on them.
skymama 37 #6 April 15, 2009 Quote me. i have to pay It's understandable if you have them done but are waiting until the last day to pay, I would do that too! Maybe you should have a litter of babies like octo-mom, you'd get a bunch of deductions that way. BillyVance 35 #17 April 15, 2009 Got ours done last week, complete with itemizations, stocks and mutual funds, mortgages, and other associated crap, in just 3 hours online with Tax Cut. Total rake - $4400 in refunds from Fed and State returns that totalled 27 pages combined. That'll help carry us nicely through my wife's maternity leave. I'm already looking forward to next year's taxes since we'll have two dependents to claim!
